
Van was a former NJVAVA Chairman 2008 – 2010 as well as current NJVACA Vice Chairman of External Relations. He hopes to foster a community that invests in each other and in future leaders. As Board member he aspires to a world in which Vietnamese American leaders serve at the highest levels in society.
As Vice Chairman External Relations, Van will dedicate his time to build bridges amongst all marginalized communities to foster solidarity and support initiatives to uplift each other.
Currently, Van is a realtor as well as real estate investor. Van left Corporate in 2016 to free up time to dedicate to his family, real estate and civic responsibilities that cannot be fully realized if he works fulltime as Corp executive. Van was a President of a condominium association in Iron Bound NJ, formally trained as board member in non-profit organizations.
Van earned an MBA in Finance and BBA in Information Technology. He was former finance manager and VP for various fortune 500 companies since 1990. Van has a wife Tracy and two grown up sons, Timothy and Kevin. They are currently living in Hillsborough NJ.
